Perhaps 2024 was a challenging year for you. It certainly was at SWMS. In any case, the promise of a new year awaits, and here is some news about it.
SWMS will debut a new web site next Spring, with a new logo and color scheme. Most important, the site will sport two enhancements designed to empower time-strapped subscribers:
— Cheat Sheet pavilion. Currently, subscribers have to click through page after page — five cheat sheets at a time — to learn what’s available. Come Spring, you’ll find a comprehensive, scannable list of all cheat sheets, segmented by category, and in reverse-chron order. The cheat sheets themselves will contain even more target detail. And you will see lots more of them.
— AI Tools pavilion. Which AI tools benefit tech PR pros the most and why? What problems do they solve? How do the tools work? Which tech PR pros use AI tools and what benefits accrue? Think NotebookLM, not necessarily Claude or ChatGPT. You’re busy and you need a filter. Demos, use cases, interviews… your feedback and ideas will be most welcome as the future arrives.
The site will remain password-protected under the same terms: passwords are for use by subscribers only and this will be strictly enforced. Many subscribers have encountered that annoying WordPress bug that told them to log in when they were already logged in. Apologies on that — the new site will be built with reliable technology, not WordPress.
Here’s hoping you have wonderful holidays with those you like and love. See you next year. And thank you as always for being part of the SWMS family.
