If you’ve got stories to tell about robotics, you’ve got a new place to tell them. Launched in January, Robotics World is led by none other than Keith Shaw, a longtime IDG edit vet and the former EIC of Robotics Business Review. Robotics World is published by Ontario, Canada-based Kerrwil Publications Limited — not IDG.
Writes tech edit vet Keith Shaw: “I’ve noticed a shift, given the coronavirus outbreak, in the types of robotics and automation stories that technology media sites are pursuing. At the top of the list now are stories about robots and automation companies that offer services and software that are helping to combat the virus…”
Ellen Chang, freelancer for The Street, Tweets that “I am really impressed with a PR executive and the pitch she sent me. Not only did she get my beat right, she also mentioned being a fellow Boilermaker and talked about basketball season.”
We have (finally) resolved the technical issues that prompted SWMS subscribers to log in when they were already logged in. Apologies for the difficulty.
Personal news! I’m part of the @CNN layoffs. I’ll keep working until early March. After that? A much needed break to recharge after 21+ years! I feel awful for my amazing colleagues who are losing their jobs. But don’t cry for me. I’ll be fine. Now it’s time to get back to work!
The SWMS-Semrush Top 15 Index was the most-opened article in our Nov. 30 emailer. Then, in descending order… cheat sheet on exec interview opps; Fortune contributed content formulas; “Challenge of 2023” analysis; Krazit/Kaye share what works; Protocol shuts down; cheat sheet on VC events/SMB events; cheat sheet on smart lighting
Great perspective from Insider reporters Rob Price and Melia Russell. Excerpt: “It doesn’t always end well when you hire people to tell the world how great you are. Future.com, from my periodic glances, is a snooze fest, devoid of even the most justifiable skepticism and tension,” wrote Brad Stone, a veteran tech journalist, in a Bloomberg newsletter this year.”
