Red Ventures isn’t selling ZDNet anytime soon. If anything, the 30-year-old franchise is growing. Look for enhanced coverage of health, education and personal finance in coming weeks. The newest senior technology reporter at BuzzFeed News is Emily Baker-White, most recently a senior policy manager at Spotify. According to a recent Spotify want ad, policy managers “define, enforce, and communicate our stance on policy issues (e.g. hate content) across ads, podcasts, music, and all other forms of user-generated content.” This is an interesting background for a reporter to have, perhaps a sign of the times…

Bloomberg grew its online revenue 50 percent this year but still lags WSJ and the FT in paid subscribers… Bloomberg scored big by hiring Protocol’s Joe Williams to fill the gap created when Brad Stone moved Nico Grant to the Google beat.
