SWMS: 15 Years Old This Week

Fifteen years ago this week I sat in a Chicago hotel room, took out a notebook and wrote "Media Watch" at the top of the page. I was a vice-president at Ziff Davis Publishing at the time. ZD was a powerful force in the tech business and was about to go public. But my 14-year tenure there was about to end.
